Custom Packaging Boxes by Construction

A decision guide for Delhi NCR buyers comparing formed, folding and fluted paper packaging without mixing unlike quotations.

Choose by function

Compare like with like before you request pricing

Two boxes can have a similar external appearance but very different board, assembly, storage and protection behaviour. The construction name is therefore the first useful line in a buyer brief.

This page separates the common paper-box families and routes each requirement to a more specific manufacturing page. It is a selector, not a duplicate of the rigid-box flagship.

Four practical starting points

Select the structure before the decoration

Construction, product fit and handling requirements decide the useful box family. Print and finish follow that structural decision.

01

Formed and wrapped

Rigid boxes arrive as a firm structure and support deliberate opening experiences.

02

Folded paperboard

Mono cartons use creases, flaps and locking patterns to create a compact retail pack.

03

Fluted paperboard

Corrugated formats add a fluted medium for shipping, mailers and larger packs.

04

Hybrid packaging

Sleeves, inserts and outers can combine different paper structures into one system.

Specification checklist

Use six inputs to narrow the construction

A reference image helps with direction, but product and logistics information determine whether the pictured structure is suitable.

A controlled route to production

Brief, engineer, approve, manufacture

The exact checks vary by construction, but the decision sequence stays clear and traceable.

  1. 01

    Product brief

Capture product size, pack purpose, quantity, delivery city and handling needs.

  2. 02

    Structure

Select the box family, board, closure and insert around the product.

  3. 03

    Artwork

Confirm print zones, finishes, information hierarchy and production files.

  4. 04

    Approval

Review the physical structure and visual reference before production planning.

  5. 05

    Manufacture

Produce against the approved specification and agreed commercial scope.

Buyer FAQ

Questions to resolve before production

Is a rigid box the same as a cardboard box?

Rigid boxes, folding cartons and corrugated boxes can all be paper based, but their board, conversion and supplied form differ. The construction should be named precisely.

Can you work from a product sample?

A physical product or accurate product dimensions can support fit and insert planning. Final scope still depends on quantity, materials, finish and delivery requirements.

Should artwork be ready before the box structure?

Artwork can begin as a direction, but final production artwork should follow the approved structure and dieline so panels, folds and finish positions are correct.
