What the project shows

Three details to look at closely.

01 / Structure

A clear opening

The navy lid is shown open above the base. The contents can be viewed together rather than being stacked in a loose pile.

02 / Layout

Separate positions

The dark insert provides a broad area beneath the blue booklet and a separate narrow recess beside it. Different component shapes are accommodated within one presentation.

03 / Hierarchy

Room for the message

The blue booklet is prominent against the darker interior. Printed information is part of the presentation, rather than an afterthought added above the contents.

Design the packing layout before fixing the outer size.

This project illustrates a practical question for electronics presentation packaging and other multi-component kits: what needs its own position, and what should the recipient see first? The answer starts with the exact contents, not a stock box size.

  1. Make an item matrix. Record each component’s dimensions, weight, orientation and quantity. Include the booklet, cables, sleeves and small accessories where relevant to your own kit.
  2. Check access as well as fit. Approve cavity depth, finger access and the removal sequence with actual items. A tight-looking recess does not establish secure restraint or easy removal.
  3. Keep the packing sequence repeatable. Test a complete sample with the person who will assemble the kit. Check item count, card position and closing clearance before production approval.

Our materials and inserts guide explains the decisions behind a fitted interior. For onboarding or gifting briefs, the corporate welcome-kit box guide separates packaging, product sourcing and assembly scope.

Turn a reference into your own brief.

Share the full item list, dimensions and weights, quantity, artwork versions, packing scope and delivery PIN code. Confirm the insert material and functional requirements in a fitted sample—not by matching a photograph alone.
