Start with the filled inner pack

Send the dimensions of the sealed cookie pouch or other inner pack, including its filled shape, seams and any space needed for removal. A physical sample helps establish the internal diameter, usable height and clearance. Discuss how the lid should open, how the pack will be supported and whether the tube will sit inside a separate shipping carton.

Food contact, liners, barriers and shelf-life requirements need a separate review against the actual product and packing method. Include those requirements in the brief so the proposed materials and any supporting documentation can be checked before approval. A portfolio photograph alone does not establish food contact suitability or moisture protection.

Build the artwork around a curved surface

Keep the main product name, variant and required label information clear when the tube is viewed from the front. Supply editable artwork, brand colours and the intended information hierarchy. The artwork review should account for the seam, the lid overlap and any areas that disappear when the pack is closed. Confirm final print treatment and colour expectations on the approved sample.
