PR box planning · Structure and reveal
PR Box Designs & Opening Styles
Choose an opening that suits the products and the way the kit will be received. Compare a removable lid with an attached magnetic flap using the same contents, print brief and sample checks.
- Minimum order: 100 boxes
- Indicative starting price: ₹90/box
- Premium briefs: around ₹500–₹700/box
Price depends on the agreed specification. Confirm inclusions, taxes, shipping and production/delivery dates in your quotation.

Start with the reveal, not the closure name
For a PR or influencer kit, the opening determines when the message, products and printed card become visible. Sketch three moments: the closed box, the first opened view, and the kit after one item has been removed. This makes it easier to compare top-bottom and magnetic designs against the same launch brief.
Tell us whether recipients will open the box at a desk, hold it for a short video, or receive it at an event. Consider the surface area available, the weight of the kit and whether a separate lid can be placed safely beside it. The structure should support the actual use, not just the empty-box photograph.
Top-bottom and magnetic PR boxes compared

Top-bottom: a separate lid and base
The removable lid gives an unobstructed view once it is lifted away. It can work for a neat, flat product arrangement or a kit that benefits from a clean overhead view. Decide the lid depth, how much of the base remains visible when closed and how the recipient grips the opening.
A deeper or tighter-fitting lid changes the opening experience. Ask to handle the sample, rather than relying on the terms “luxury” or “rigid” to describe how it will feel. Confirm the separate-lid printing and any insert clearance.

Magnetic flap: an attached reveal
An attached lid keeps the opening and inside-lid graphic together. This gives a useful place for campaign copy, an instruction card or a coordinated visual above the product layout. Check how the lid sits when open and whether it obstructs the intended camera angle.
The closed flap, hinge and inside lining should be reviewed with the loaded kit. Confirm clearance over tall caps, jars and cards. A magnetic presentation closure does not certify the pack for courier handling or remove the need to plan the shipping outer.
More about magnetic rigid boxesUse the same kit to compare both options
- First product view
- Show the same product count and orientation in each sample. Compare how much of each label is visible immediately after opening.
- Space around the kit
- Allow for a detached lid beside a top-bottom box, or the open-lid footprint of a magnetic design. Measure the usable interior separately from outside dimensions.
- Taking items out
- Check finger access and lift-out sequence. An impressive cavity arrangement still needs to let the recipient remove products without pulling at their caps.
- Message and print
- Agree which surface carries the main campaign message. Avoid duplicating long text on every surface; keep the key information readable in the intended opening view.
- Fulfilment
- Pack a complete sample, including cards, filler, any protective sleeves and the outer shipper. Confirm who inserts products and closes each kit.
Coordinate colour, paper and printed surfaces
A top-bottom design can carry artwork across the removable lid and base; a magnetic design adds an inside-lid surface to plan. Map these areas on the agreed dieline. Confirm which edges, folds and wrap returns may affect the artwork before placing small lettering or a continuous pattern.
Solid colours, full-colour graphics, paper texture and selective metallic foiling are options to discuss against the brief. Screen colour, an AI concept and a digital mockup are references; approve a suitable physical colour or finish sample for the chosen process. Gold-colour foil is a visual finish, not a claim of real-gold composition.
For creator names or campaign variants, provide a version list with quantity per artwork. Ask whether the box can stay common while the card changes. Keep the printed design, cavity drawing and contents list aligned so a late product substitution does not create a fit problem.
Compare quotations on equal specifications
MOQ is 100 boxes. Category-level indicative pricing starts from ₹90 per box for suitable basic briefs; premium PR configurations may be around ₹500–₹700 per box. Neither figure is an automatic top-bottom or magnetic price. Compare both structures at the same usable size, quantity, print coverage, insert, card and finishing scope.
Ask what the quotation includes: sampling, tooling where applicable, printing, insert or crinkle filling, cards, packing/assembly, taxes and delivery. Confirm lead time and dispatch/delivery dates for the approved brief rather than borrowing a timeline from a different packaging category.

Share the actual contents and dimensions, preferred opening, quantity per artwork, colour/print references, insert or crinkle requirement and delivery postcode. MOQ is 100 boxes. Include your campaign date so the required production, dispatch and delivery schedule can be confirmed.
Indicative category prices start from ₹90 per box for suitable basic briefs; premium configurations may be around ₹500–₹700 per box. These are planning references, not fixed prices for every construction or guaranteed inclusions. Confirm the complete scope in the quotation.
