SBS Artwork, Sampling & Quality Checks
Make each approval mean one clear thing.
Start with the correct physical reference
Use the actual product or a verified drawing, including closures, labels, wraps and accessories. Distinguish product measurements from intended inside-carton measurements. Keep the carton supplied-flat state, erected state and shipping pack separate.
Build artwork on the approved dieline
Confirm panel order, cut/crease lines, glue flap, orientation and opening before placing final artwork. Keep the dieline separate from print and finish layers. Bleed, safe areas and production file requirements should come from the approved supplier specification; do not assume a generic template fits every carton.
Keep finishes and variable information controlled
Identify foil, UV and emboss/deboss layers separately. Label artwork versions and quantity per version. Agree barcode, batch/date and other variable-information zones. The brand must approve its product claims and required content; packaging manufacture is not regulatory artwork certification.
Choose the sample that resolves the current question
A reference/material sample helps assess surface and direction, not your exact fit. An unprinted structural sample checks the packed shape and opening, not final colour. A printed pre-production sample reviews the agreed combination; confirm sample scope, fees and timing in writing.
Record acceptance before bulk production
Keep quotation acceptance, dieline approval, artwork approval, sample approval and production authorization distinct. Record the accepted revision and any deviations. Revisions to board, finish, size or quantity after approval require a scope review rather than assuming the old sample remains valid.
Define practical QC and dispatch checks
Agree the relevant board/print checks, crease/fold condition, glue quality, finish registration, count and protective packing for the job. For sets or variants, verify identification and the packing list. Delivery timing begins from the agreed approval and production conditions, not the first website enquiry.
Before you order
Does uploading a logo send production-ready artwork?
The existing Studio logo feature is a local preview, not a submitted artwork attachment. Production files must follow the agreed secure artwork process.
Are samples free or automatically available?
No such promise is made here. Sample type, charges, availability and timing are confirmed in the quotation.
Can you begin printing from the website preview?
A screen preview is not a print proof or production authorization. Complete the required approvals first.
